What Are You Grateful For?

I am big on gratitude. Real big. I think it's important to give thanks for every single thing in our lives. I believe that we should all start and end our days with saying "Thank you" because believe it or not, it is a gift to rest and be able to wake up and live another day.
Don't get me wrong though. I wasn't always a bundle of gratitude. Actually, I was a rather spoiled brat. I said thank you out of respect and having manners. But it never came from the heart.

I started expressing gratitude after reading "The Secret." It's said that by being grateful for what you have presently as well as what you want turbo charges your current desires, making them manifest faster. So I started being grateful because well, there were a few things I wanted to manifest. My gratitude was coming from the wrong place and didn't have the right intention.

It wasn't until I read "The Magic," the third book written by the author of "The Secret," that I really started get it and practice the art of gratitude. And I haven't stopped since.

We have so much to be thankful for. Being alive is a great start. Having a job, food, shelter, and more are often things that we should be grateful for but often take for granted. Having a support system and great friendships are also things we can be grateful for. Even little things count like getting to your destination on time or being able to witness to the amazing experiences that life brings.

Despite what's going on in the world, it's important to express gratitude. Don't where to start? Create a gratitude notebook and every night write 5 things you are thankful for no matter how small. I try not to go a day without writing in mine. Being grateful for what you have now with pure intentions does bring forth more experiences that you can be grateful for (aka your desires).

When life gives you lemons, count your blessings, not your burdens. Then turn that ish into lemonade!

Be blessed & prosper,
