Changing The Course You're On

A few months ago, I wrote a personal post about creating a new life for myself. Since then, I've been making small changes and taking the proper steps to create the life I want. Through this whole, new experience I'm enduring, I just wanted to emphasize one thing that I've learned: it's okay to change the road you're on.

I believe that when we first began to envision our lives, we have a set plan on how we plan to get there. Go to college, do internships, meet the right people, work here then here, and boom, you've arrived at your dream. But what I'm learning is that life doesn't always work like that. Things happen. Unexpected incidents occur. Sometimes you're forced to change your path because you don't have any other choice.

But here's the thing: you do have a choice. You don't have to wait for some life altering event to change your course. You can change it at anytime. You can change it right now.
What God has shown me is that nothing is ever set in stone. But we are also co creators with him which allows us free will and trusting that He will be with us along the way. The only guarantee plan that we have is death. That's it. And even then, we don't know what that is.

As a woman who changes her mind a lot, I'm learning that it's okay to change your mind. It's okay to not like the course you are currently on. If you don't like road you are traveling, it's perfectly okay to make a right turn and take a different street.

It's your journey. Take whatever route that works for you.

Be blessed & prosper,
