Day 9 - Enough is Enough

Where do you go or what do you do to escape from the world and recharge?  What creative activities remind you of who you are and what is important to you?

When I need to escape, I honestly take a nap. I don't think people understand the power of a nap. When life becomes too much, too fast, too hard or whatever it is, a nap always seems to help. When I wake up, my problems still exists but I'm more prepared to take them on. My mind is clear. My body is rested. My soul is recharged. But there are times when I can't take a nap or a nap just won't do (it usually does but there are moments). When that happens, my next escapes are food and books. I love cooking and find a release in creating something delicious. I love reading self help books to nourish my mind. But fiction is my go to when I don't want to deal with the real world.

Burying myself into arts and crafts (writing, hair projects, etc), cooking, and watching light hearted TV reminds me of who I am. At my core, I'm a simple girl who loves to laugh, a good meal, and happens to be creative. I watch comedies such as "The Office" or "Big Bang Theory" to keep my life fun and not so heavy. It's little things that remind me to enjoy and embrace life. It's the simple aspects that truly matter. It's the stuff we need yet overlook that we take for granted.

Peace & Light,
