Day 14 - Love Language

What are your favorite ways to give and receive love?
Words of Affirmation
Acts of Service
Quality Time
Physical Touch
Gift Giving

To be honest, I don't think I have a specific love language that I speak. I like to think I speak all of them rather well depending on the situation. But in recent times, especially after my last break up, I started wondering what exactly is my language. Yes, I speak all of them but which one truly reflects me?

That's when it hit me.

One of the biggest issues I had with my ex was lack of quality time (it was long distance so more so phone calls & visiting) and him not expressing words of affirmation. There were many times where I didn't know how he really felt. I had an idea but it would've been nice to hear the words "I love you", "I miss you", "I appreciate you" more often. Physical touch is third being that I love to express my love physically when words just won't do.

However, when it comes to others (giving), I'm more of "acts of service" person. I like to do things for other people to show them that I love them, care about them and will be there for them. So if it's giving them money so they can pay a bill or buy food, helping them better themselves, or just showing up to an event to show my support, that's me. But I do also express words of affirmation and quality time others as well.

Peace & Light,
